1 // How do you define Platform?

I think the definition of Platform varies at each VC firm. At TechNexus, we work with corporations to invest in early-stage companies and create corporate-venture collaborations. We call our Platform team the "Collaboration Team," responsible for driving value for both our corporate partners and ventures. I look at my team's role as a connector and strategist to unlock opportunities from our corporate partners and broader network.

2 // What was your Path to Platform?

Before working at TechNexus I worked at JPMorgan Chase for 4 years in various internal consulting roles, focusing on strategy and process improvement across all lines of business.

3 // Favorite part of the Platform role?

I love complex problem-solving and being a dot connector for our founders.

4 // What part of the Platform role surprised you?

What surprised me about Platform is how the job differs from day to day and week to week, which I didn't have much insight into when I applied. You really have to be flexible with your tasks and priorities and comfortable with ambiguous tasks, which fuels the problem-solver in me!

I think being flexible and having the ability to quickly adapt is important for success in any Platform role. Showcasing a diverse skillset and being able to communicate.
